Threading has quickly become a popular approach to improving aging and sagging skin without seeking the conventional surgical approach. It is safe for many age groups and all skin types, but is ideal for those with mild-to-moderate skin laxity issues.

Introducing absorbable PDO Threads
Absorbable thread lifts are a safe, convenient option for anti-aging and tightening. While not a substitute for traditional cosmetic surgery, threads offer a more conservative approach with less downtime. Designed to be less invasive, the threads can improve skin laxity in multiple areas of the body, such as cheeks, jawline, abdomen and even knees with less risk and downtime than the conventional surgical approach. The threads are specially studied to resist enzymatic attack and stimulate the skin in an optimal and homogeneous way. Threads come in a variety of smooth and barbed forms, in different lengths, that work at various levels of the tissue.
Thread Lift treatment:
Threading can be performed along the cheeks, jawline, eyes, forehead, upper lip, above the knees, abdomen, arms or anywhere one might experience skin laxity and sagging.
Side effects can be temporary bruising, swelling, redness, pain, tenderness, itching and induration. These occurrences are temporary and rarely last greater than 2 weeks. In some cases with barbed threads, rippling or puckering of the skin may occur but typically resolves in 1-2 weeks. Patients review a detailed consent form in which possible side effects are reviewed.
The cost is determined by size of area being treated and number of threads used. Please call our Dallas office for more details.
While threading is safe for many, you may not do a thread lift under the following conditions: active acne, auto-immune disorders, allergic reactions, predisposition to Keloid scars, pregnancy, skin infection or rashes, malignancy (i.e.: active cancer or cancer treatment), anti-coagulants or clotting disorders
Threading can be performed AFTER radiofrequency treatments, but you must wait a minimum of 4 months BEFORE you seek further RF treatments after threading
If threading different areas, treatment can be performed as desired or needed. However, if treating a previously threaded area, it’s recommended to wait at least 6 months between procedures.
