1.What is radio frequency used for?
It is non-ablative treatment of mild to moderate facial wrinkles using an energy based device (EBD).
It also provides temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite on the body.
2. Does radio frequency hurt?
This treatment does not hurt. Patients describe it as a warm massage.
3. Can radio frequency only be used on certain skin types?
No. This treatment can be used on ALL skin types.
4. How long does a radio frequency treatment take?
The length of treatment depends on the area being treated. Smaller areas, for instance around the eyes, typically take 15 minutes. Larger area on the body can take up to 30 to 45 minutes.
5. What should one expect after a radio frequency treatment?
You can return to normal daily activities immediately after the treatment, and women can apply makeup afterwards as well. Some patients experience slight redness and swelling, but it usually subsides within 2 to 12 hours.
