Small red blood vessels, commonly known as “spider veins”, found on the face or nose can easily be treated by either a laser or IPL (Intense Pulsed Light). These capillaries are more visible due to dilation, and are more apparent on people with fair complexions. There are several factors that can increase dilation which include: spicy food, heat, cold, alcohol, and exercise. Various devices use a beam of light to improve a broad range of vascular conditions by treating the areas of concern. At the proper settings, the laser light selectively targets and coagulates problem blood vessels while leaving the surrounding skin unchanged. There is relatively mild discomfort for treatment for blood vessels in Dallas. It is important to seek a physician that has experience and is well trained in lasers.
